Because I have nothing much to do on a Sunday afternoon
After brunch with my Shanghai-withdrawal Support Group
"Lionel (sombrely) : Let's all hold hands." *Eight sets of droopy shoulders*
Quickly fell asleep on my very warm bed. I forgot to open the windows.
I might have died from cooking. It's actually a lot like pressure cooking, isn't it? I wonder if that's possible?
Woke up and whatsapped a ton of people. In an attempt to keep relationships alive.
By NOT talking on the phone, much less face-to-face.
Oh the irony.
Inspiration to blog/maintain my blog/tumblr.
Seriously, why I am maintaining 2 blogs is just slightly beyond me. I suppose if I have to, I could rationalize it--tumblr is visual based and sometimes, seeing something is just more powerful. However, no one is ever wordy on Tumblr and I. SERIOUSLY. DO have the urge for verbal diarrhea every once in a while. Only a blog can satisfy me that way. *smacks lips*
Blog-spied.
Mused about jogging but the sun became the best excuse ever.
Thank you very much. I am going to be fat and un-hawt for, like, ever.
Gave up thoughts about jogging and continue to spy on blogs.
Excessive blogging right now.

"I cannot fix on the hour, or the look, or the words, which laid the foundation. It is too long ago. I was in the middle before I knew that I had begun."
-Pride & Prejudice
A list of people I wanted to grow up to be
When you're almost approaching one-third or one-quarter of your life (I seriously have no idea when I will plop suddenly and bid adieus to this world), you start thinking about the could-have-beens and what-ifs because your life is more or less a) fixed in a 9 to 5 oh-so-not-exciting job b) stuck in a rut with a crappy(or not) partner. You start to wonder again if things would turned out differently if you pursued all the different jobs you wrote about in your English class compositions in Primary school.
a) "My ambition is to be a teacher"
Yeah, like, SO NOT. This was my first ambition in primary school because, really, teachers were the only people you knew who had jobs. You never understood that the hawkers, postmen, newspaper guy, convenience store keepers were working too. And of course I peeked at my classmate's composition and everyone wrote the same. Mrs Kwok might have been pleased with the overwhelming response and gratified by the thought that she has inspired an entire generation to grow up to be "nurturers" or she might have simply rolled her eyes. But now, uh huh, no. I don't think so. If the kids haven't managed to kill me with their nonsense, I might be on the headlines for "Classroom massacre". I'm not so warm and fuzzy.
b) I wanted to be a policeman/detective.
That was when I started reading Nancy Drew and the Enid Blyton series on the "Five find-outers and Dog" and there was a period of time when SBC/TCS/TVB were producing plenty of TV series based on crimes and smart-ass detectives. I thought it was really cool to chase after the baddies and shout "Freeze! Or I'll shoot!"
Unfortunately, I can't even run to save my own life. 'nuff said.
C) I wanted to become a lawyer.
Yeah, this was still in Primary school. Ideals change a lot more frequently back then, I guess since we still had a lot of time to change our directions. I remembered being very inspired by a drama series starring Fann Wong and god knows who else.
D) And then I thought I could be an actress
Not really a TV actress, I aspired more to work in the theatres, maybe even in musicals (like a very localized Broadway). My first encounter with drama was in Sec 3 and it was so liberating to just let loose and be somebody else. You become an observer of your surroundings, you try to feel what others are feeling, you guess and you search for realistic responses to different scenarios and try to incorporate them into your acting so you can deliver something other people might believe in. I loved it. After A levels I joined a artiste management school and learnt TV acting, dancing and singing there. (They were training their students to be all-rounded artistes. Very ambitious.) I love the acting coach there and I think my confidence grew pretty much. TV acting is much more into details because obviously in theaters, I can hardly see the actors' faces, much less their features. And if you know me IRL, yes, I am a drama queen. :)
E) Oh, then I thought I could sing for a living.
(Except unless you're a superstar, you earn next to peanuts.)
Hire me for your weddings!
F) Maybe I could write

Balloons
I drew this over lunch, was extremely inspired last night by MOJ (Mother of Jolene)
This is me/her/you/us.
The girl's hand is bleeding from a string cut when the balloon she's holding on so tightly got swept by the wind so suddenly it jerks away and cuts sharply on her palm.
It leaves the little girl balloon-less, injured and scraped off her innocence.
Ironically, the balloon is heart-shaped.
Does love come as suddenly and quickly and flees away instantaneously with no sign or warning?
We may never know.
But it definitely hurts when it does.
Just like the little girl.

see me crystal clear
Right.
I've decided to start afresh after my old blog decided to ditch me. Seriously. Just because I left you alone for 6months? You decided to turn your back on me?
Am I not allowed to take a sabbatical?!
You back-stabbing heartless bitch of a blog!
So here I am, back to the old-school blogger. Time has not allowed me to "zhng" it to aesthetical-perfection yet, but I will.
So, はじめまして new blog!
Help me to see myself crystal clear again!
